Fine Printing Methods

From digital to letterpress, discover the methods that bring your designs to life

I collaborate with a select group of trusted printers to bring my invitation suites to life. While I offer high-quality digital printing, your stationery can be elevated with specialty techniques paired with my hand-painted artwork. Think of the shimmer of foil or the timeless elegance of letterpress — each process offers a distinctive look and feel.

This gallery introduces you to some of the printing methods that can take your stationery to the next level. Additional techniques are available upon request.

Please note: I do not offer printing services for other designers or companies.

Each printing method brings a different character and finish to your stationery. From the timeless impression of letterpress to the luminous shine of foil, these techniques allow you to elevate your suite and create a look that truly reflects your vision. Explore the options below to discover which process best complements your design.

  • Digital printing is a versatile and cost-effective option, ideal for custom designs that require vibrant, full-colour detail. It offers a faster turnaround than traditional methods and is especially suited for suites featuring watercolour or hand-painted artwork, as it captures subtle shades and gradients beautifully. While it doesn’t provide the tactile impression of letterpress or the metallic shine of foil, it remains a refined choice that delivers excellent quality at a more accessible price point.

  • Letterpress is a centuries-old technique where ink is pressed into the paper with a custom plate, leaving a tactile impression you can both see and feel. Each piece is individually printed, creating a subtle debossed effect that adds depth and texture. Letterpress pairs beautifully with cotton papers and elevates even the simplest design into something timeless and artful.

  • Foil stamping adds a touch of glamour and sophistication by pressing metallic foil into the paper with heat and pressure. Perfect for names, monograms, or decorative accents, it creates a striking, light-catching detail that stands out beautifully. Available in a wide range of colours, from classic gold and silver to soft pastels or bold tones, foil adds a luxurious finish to any suite.

  • Both techniques add a three-dimensional element to your stationery. Embossing raises your design above the paper surface, while debossing presses it below. When done without ink, known as blind embossing or blind debossing, the result is an understated and elegant effect that highlights form and texture. These techniques bring subtle artistry to crests, monograms, or simple motifs.

  • Engraving is one of the most traditional and prestigious printing methods, known for its crisp lines, vibrant colours, and distinctive raised texture on the front of the paper (with a slight indentation visible on the back). This meticulous process uses a hand-engraved plate to transfer ink, creating results that feel both refined and enduring. Engraving is especially suited for formal invitations and luxury projects.

The right printing method can elevate your stationery and make every detail unforgettable. Ready to find the perfect fit for your suite?
